In Voice and Verse

Panorama LONDON In Voice and Verse

A celebration of this great city in words, music & imagery.

Londinium: Capital city of the UK. Established by the Romans nearly 2,000 years ago along the banks of the River Thames.

In a programme of music, poetry and imagery, we take you on a journey around this vibrant and historic metropolis. From the pen of Wordsworth to Zephaniah; and Handel to Flanders & Swann, it is a cultural celebration of this iconic, cosmopolitan city.

Run Time: Approximately 1 hour with no interval.
During the performance we project a selection of images & texts.

"Actor Lance Pierson, soprano Belinda Yates, and pianist Heather Chamberlain are old friends and favourites of ours. They get better and better. London in Voice and Verse is their spirited response to our asking for a special programme for the London Appreciation Society. We appreciated London all the more when we heard their wonderfully varied selection of poems and songs. They were all on fine form. The audience loved them. And the visual effects were extraordinarily well chosen, of the highest quality, a perfect back cloth for the performance. The resounding applause spoke for us all, not once but again and again."
John Mann. Secretary, The London Appreciation Society - Nov 2019
